Pippa Black - Pippa - Charities and Charity

Lighthouse Charity PETA PETA

As with most celebrities Pippa Black has used her ever growing public profile to raise awareness for charitable causes.

Pippa is involved with the Narre Warren Lighthouse Foundation using her free time to act as a ambassador for the organisation which looks to provide support and accommodation for young Australian's who would otherwise find themselves homeless.

Alongside the Lighthouse Foundation Pippa has also supported a collection of global charities including the Childhood Hero Foundation, RSPCA Million Paws Walk and the Asthma Foundation of Victoria. Pippa, and her dog Tank, took part in the 2007 Celebrity Pet Challenge in Albert Park as part of the RSPCA Million Paws Walk.

In 2007 Pippa added her voice to the PETA Let Vegetarianism Grown On You Campaign which sought to encourage people to consider vegetarianism. Pippa commented on her own choice to give up meat and said she felt healthier and was happy about the environmental and animal benefits of doing so. Her involvement with the campaign saw Pippa pose in a gown made of lettuce and a necklace of chili's for a PETA photoshoot.

Pippa has also publicly supported various other Victoria, Australia and global charities by speaking out on issues such as energy conservation and climate change awareness. The list of charities include the Asthma Foundation of Victoria, The Bluey Day Foundation, Camp Quality, CanTeen, Childhood Hero, Make-a-Wish and the World Society for the Protection of Animals.
